Catherine is a passionate health and wellbeing advocate with a First Class BSc in Nutrition from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. While not currently a practicing nutritionist, her deep-rooted interest in health continues to thrive through her work. Catherine works as a veggie/vegan cook in Callander, Scotland, where she prepares wholesome, plant-based meals for large groups, including those interested in yoga, meditation, Reiki, and other spiritual practices.
In addition to her culinary role, she part-time manages the social media account for a fertility dietitian in Ireland, expanding her knowledge of the link between nutrition and fertility. Catherine also runs her own food-focused social media account, @justalittlepeckish, which is filled with plant-based recipes and culinary inspiration. Catherine’s professional experience spans working with small businesses in Edinburgh and Glasgow, including Sgaia Foods and Nuisance Drinks. During this time, she honed her social media and marketing skills while deepening her interest in the food and drinks industry.
Previously, Catherine volunteered with the Diverse Nutrition Association for over two years, where she educated students and healthcare professionals on navigating and working with diverse cultures. During her time at the association, Catherine was responsible for researching and designing public health nutrition content for various social media platforms. She also assisted in the smooth running of community-focused health events, such as cooking classes, and managed multiple social media accounts. Catherine worked closely with other nutrition education platforms to create engaging, on-brand content that promoted better health practices within diverse communities.
