Luke Zollman Thomas is a 3rd year student of Psychology and Nutrition at Newcastle University. Currently on a professional placement year, he splits his time between 2 small social enterprises in Newcastle: ‘Nourish Food School’ – a cookery school aimed at positively shaping the way people from less advantaged backgrounds see, eat and experience food and ‘Men’s Pie Club’ – a community project set up to improve social connectedness among men.
Luke has been an active member of Nutritank since his first year at Newcastle, and was a guest host for their Men’s Health webinar series back in 2022.
Whilst still relatively new in the community food and health space, he is passionate about the potential this field has to change lives for the better. He puts great trust in his values: curiosity, joy, inspiration, and a strong belief that everyone makes the kindest choices (to themselves and others) when they feel supported to do so.
Aware of and alarmed at all the health and social challenges that face our world today, he is galvanised to join the movement working for a healthier and happier future.
