Dr Shahnaz Hassan is a general adult consultant psychiatrist with a specialist interest in adult ADHD. She is a published researcher in the field of lifestyle medicine. Her practice in psychiatry takes a lifestyle approach aiming to equip people with lifelong personal resources, such as regular physical activity, to manage their mental wellbeing. She is a qualified UK athletics coach, setting up & personally volunteering at a community-based, weekly mental health support running and walking group (Run Talk Run & Walk Talk Walk) and volunteers at the first NHS patient swimming group. She designs and delivers wellbeing workshops to health care staff. She lives by what she preaches and is a keen triathlete herself, and encourages others to find their passions in life to help them reach their full potential.
