AGENDA:

In this presentation I will provide an update of the advances in pain science and how appreciating the new neuroscience of pain can help us better appreciate the exciting opportunities to help patients in pain. There are now many evidenced based approaches to managing pain rather than just medications or interventions and understanding these other non-pharmacological approaches will align with the long term plan of the NHS while empowering the patients to overcome their pain with less burden on healthcare resources making it more sustainable in the long term. I will conclude by offering some case studies and how to provide more personalised recommendations where possible and offer some future perspectives.
