Vilasini Bhaskaran

First Contact Clinical Specialist Dietitian, Primary Care Dietitians and Havering Marshall PCN, UK

Vilasini is a specialist Registered Dietitian with over 22 years of experience in Clinical and Public Health Dietetics. Her expertise lies in Diabetes, Weight management and Bariatrics and she has worked in various capacities in the UK and India. Prior to joining the NHS, she was associated with WHO as a Program Officer for diabetes research, prevention and awareness and with UNICEF as a maternal and child health nutrition consultant. Currently, she is working as a primary care dietitian in the UK and also involved in other projects with Diabetes UK and Digibete. in addition, she has delivered several lectures for medical undergraduate students pursuing diabetes fellowships, conducted webinars with Nutridoc, USA and published several articles on diabetes and obesity in both online and print media. She has also presented abtracts at National and Internatinal conferences. Her hobbied include cooking, baking, travelling and classical dance .
