Ursula has worked as a dietitian in NHS, food retailing, pharmaceuticals and at the British Nutrition Foundation. For many years she has worked as a freelance nutrition writer, and is on the committee of the Guild of Health Writers. She is very interested in the current discussions on sustainable diets, and was part of the expert group of the British Dietetic Association report ‘One Blue Dot
The link between healthy diets and environmental sustainability in not new: the book ‘Diet for a Small Planet’ was published more than 50 years ago. But discussions and debates on sustainable diets are heating up. What does this mean compared to typical UK diets? Is there scientific consensus on the data? Should everyone become vegan?
